God is Faithful

There are two things that remain invariable with God.

1. He cannot lie (Numbers 23:19; Titus 1:2; Hebrews 6:18.
2. He does not change His mind or nature. (Malachi 3:6; James 1:17)

These two immutable qualities make God faithful. God is faithful because He is good. He is good because He cannot be otherwise. Men may change, circumstances may change but God is constant. His inability to lie and His unchangeableness are not limitations, they are perfections that make Him God.

So get it this way: “God is faithful because He is good, God is good because He is God”
