God Is Faithful: Rev. Clifford De-Graft Ade Reminds Believers Why God Can Never Fail

June 22, 2026

There are some truths that never grow old, and the faithfulness of God is one of them. In a stirring Sunday message anchored on Hebrews 10:23, Rev. Clifford De-Graft Ade led the congregation back to one of the most settled and steadying truths in all of Scripture: God is faithful, and He cannot be anything else.

The message was simple but profound, built on a single unshakeable idea — God is faithful because He is good, and He is good because He is God.

Two Things That Never Change About God

Rev. Clifford De-Graft Ade opened by pointing to two qualities that remain forever constant in God’s nature.

First, God cannot lie. Citing Numbers 23:19, Titus 1:2, and Hebrews 6:18, the pastor reminded believers that deception is impossible for God. Second, God does not change His mind or His nature (Malachi 3:6; James 1:17). Men may change. Circumstances shift constantly. But God remains constant.

These, he explained, are not limitations — they are perfections. God’s inability to lie and His unchangeableness are precisely what make Him God. As the pastor put it, “God’s faithfulness is the proof of His goodness, and His goodness is rooted in His unchanging nature.”

Six Ways God Proves His Faithfulness

From this foundation, Rev. Clifford De-Graft Ade walked the congregation through six clear evidences of God’s faithfulness.

1. God Is Faithful in Our Testing

Drawing from 1 Corinthians 10:13, the pastor offered a vivid picture: in our trying moments, God has His hand on the thermostat. He controls the heat. God knows our capacity and capability, He regulates the pressure, and He always provides an escape route. Even Satan, he noted from Job 1:12 and Job 2:6, can only go as far as God permits.

“The trial may be hot,” he reminded the church, “but the fire is under divine control.” Whatever is trying you will not destroy you, because God is faithful.

2. God Is Faithful to Forgive

Turning to 1 John 1:9, Rev. Clifford De-Graft Ade made it clear that God does not forgive because we deserve it. He forgives because He is faithful to His covenant and to the finished work of Christ. David found forgiveness. Peter found restoration. The prodigal son found acceptance (Psalm 103:10-12; Micah 7:18-19).

The message was full of hope: our failures do not cancel God’s faithfulness. Your past will not determine your future — in fact, your future overcomes your past, because God is faithfully good.

3. God Is Faithful to His Promise

Quoting 1 Thessalonians 5:24, the pastor declared that God watches over His word for one reason: to perform it. Jeremiah 1:12 confirms it — God hastens His word to perform it. Joshua testified that not one of God’s promises ever failed (Joshua 21:45). Sarah judged Him faithful (Hebrews 11:11). Abraham waited, and God fulfilled His promise (Romans 4:20-21).

The faithfulness of God knows no failure. “He is too faithful to fail,” the pastor said. You may experience delay, but never denial, because God never defaults on His promise.

4. God Is Faithful to Complete What He Starts

From Philippians 1:6, Rev. Clifford De-Graft Ade reminded the congregation that what God begins, He finishes. He finished creation. He finished redemption. And He will accomplish that which concerns you (Psalm 138:8). God never abandons His project.

5. God Is Faithful Even When We Are Not

Perhaps the most comforting point of all came from 2 Timothy 2:13. God’s faithfulness is not based on our consistency — it is based on His character. Peter denied Him, yet He restored him. Israel wandered, yet He remembered His covenant. God’s faithfulness rests on His nature, not on our performance.

The Conclusion That Holds It All Together

As he closed, Rev. Clifford De-Graft Ade gathered the whole message into a single, memorable chain of truth:

God is faithful because God is good. God is good because He cannot lie. God cannot lie because He cannot change. And because He cannot change, He remains God forever.

He cannot lie. He does not change. He keeps His promises. He forgives. He controls our trials. And He finishes what He starts.

For every believer carrying a delayed promise, a heavy trial, or the weight of past failure, this message was a timely reminder: the One who called you is faithful, and He will surely do it.
